The series animates three separate story arcs. The Two Gun Mojo series is featured in 5 episodes, and there are episodes of The Gunfighter and The Hangin' Woman.

Will Arnett with Elmo. Brilliant photo i'm sure you agree...

This is just a quick snippet post as he didn't go into a great amount of detail about the film but Will Arnett, who is set to star in the Jonah Hex film in an as-yet undefined role was interviewed my Cinematical and was asked a little about Jonah Hex.

Arnett played George 'Gob' Bluth II in Arrested Development, was in 2 episodes of the Sopranos and has lent his voice to quite a few animated movies including Ratatouille and Ice Age : Meltdown.

Arnett was asked about Jonah Hex and said :

"You know, I don't really have a plan, per say. Jonah Hex came up. It was a great opportunity and I was so happy that they included me in that project. And for me, it was something different that I got to do. And who knows? I don't feel like I have anything to prove in that sense. Again, I am kind of over it. It doesn't really matter. I am not here to say, "Oh, I need to show everybody, or I need to try to get some kind of serious accolade." That is not important to me. I really just want to, like I said, work with people that I enjoy and do stuff that is fun and makes me laugh."

It wasn't the first Arnett had been interviewed about Hex, in an interview with Super Hero Hype he said :

"[My character] is much more serious. I hope. Otherwise I've failed miserably at my job."

"I play a guy who's in the Union army right after the Civil War, I enlist Jonah Hex, played by Josh Brolin, to do our bidding for us and to track down John Malkovich."

"'Jonah Hex' is a very kind of heavy movie, It's dark and actioney... [A] real fun, dark, sweaty movie."

Edit 8th February 2010 : One more quote found from the National Post :

"The comic had something of a following in the 1970s. It's about this Jonah Hex character, played by Josh Brolin, and it's set in the postbellum U.S. south. There's kind of an otherworldly aspect to him -- whispers of ghosts and stuff -- he's a guy who's badly damaged. I play the guy who tracks him down and forces him to do the bidding of the U.S. government. It was a wonderful experience."

The band have 3 albums to date; Leviathan (2004), Blood Mountain (2006) and Crack the Skye (2009), and bassist Troy Sanders told Paste Magazine that the music of the score was a departure from the band's metal sound.

“Some of it was heavy, some of it was very moody. A lot of it was spacey, Melvins B-sides, Pink Floyd-like, surreal outer space, like Neil Young’s Dead Man. Swirling, nausea music.”

However, the stretch from writing full-album material to scoring a movie was not too great for the band, as Sanders said :

“Since day one, we’ve always written albums thinking the music was the score of a movie. Then we’ll create the lyrics or story line on top of that, as if we’re writing the dialogue to match the movie’s cinematography.”

Sanders said that Mastodon took on the movie score after a phone call from director Jimmy Hayward, who had been listening to the band whilst shooting the movie, asking them to get involved.

“As opposed to labels profiteering the situation, saying they’d give a band $500,000 to use some song, he called us out of the blue as a fan, It was the most beautiful, authentic way to collaborate.”

“[The movie budget] covered our studio fees, but it was a break even deal. Malkovich, Brolin and Megan Fox all took pay cuts to be a part of this movie—that alone speaks volumes about how much people care about this film.”

“I guarantee an incredibly popular misconception will be, ‘Oh my god, they’re selling out doing a fucking comic-book movie. They probably got a huge paycheck and don’t give a shit about integrity.

The fact is the exact opposite. We sacrificed another two weeks away from home to give away an album’s worth of material for nothing in return but satisfaction in being a part of something incredible.”

News is that Josh Brolin, John Malkovich, Megan Fox and Michael Fassbender will all be in Los Angeles for 10 additional days of filming for 12 new pages that have been added to the script.

Rumours circulated that Warner Bros. added the new scenes to "fix certain problems with the movie", while the budget for the movie has increased in the hope that it will be able to better compete with other summer blockbusters.

Warner Bros. have also seen fit to hire 'I am Legend' director Francis Lawrence as a consultant to main Jonah Hex director Jimmy Haywood for the reshoots.

The movie was originally scheduled for release on August 6th 2010, but the release was moved up to June 18th, putting it in direct competition with the years summer blockbusters.

Other details of the movie are still thin on the ground as there have not been any test screenings and no trailer or teasers have been released.
